The Denver Office of Emergency Management is hosting a Healthcare Facility Planning Workshop on March 13, 2019 from 8:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. This workshop provides a forum to discuss emergency planning and address Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) emergency preparedness rule requirements. While this training is intended for healthcare facilities subject to the CMS emergency preparedness rule, other facilities, including assisted living residences may benefit from the emergency preparedness information presented at this training.
This event closely mirrors the workshops that were held in 2018. Feedback from those events was overwhelmingly positive, so please consider registering if you missed them the first time. Registration is free and can be done at www.co.train.org. The course ID # is 1076532 (select the March session).View the flyer announcement here: Healthcare Facility Planning Workshop Flyer.
Additional Information: Sponsors include The Denver Office of Emergency Management; Denver Department of Public Health and Environment; Denver Health Paramedic Division; Denver Public Health; the North Central Region Healthcare Coalition; and the Metro Foothills Healthcare Coalition chapter. The workshop will include an overview of risks, a review of the CMS requirements, a discussion of planning tools for healthcare facilities, and a panel of representatives for discussion and Q&A.
